Position Details

LTSA Service Manager – United Kingdom

e-STORAGE is a subsidiary of Canadian Solar and specializes in the design, manufacturing, and integration of battery energy storage systems for utility-scale applications. The company offers its own proprietary LFP battery solution, comprehensive EPC services, and innovative solutions to improve grid operations and support a sustainable future. e-STORAGE has implemented over 3.3 GWh DC of battery energy storage solutions in locations including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and China. The company operates two fully automated manufacturing facilities with an annual production capacity approaching 20 GWh.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the negotiation of LTSA agreements with clients/owners and sub‑LTSA agreements with service providers.
  • Prepare and review detailed scopes of work for service providers and equipment suppliers.
  • Ensure sites are operated in accordance with contractual requirements, including achieving capacity and availability guarantees.
  • Manage service providers and equipment suppliers to ensure maintenance is completed to maintain equipment uptime per contractual obligations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Recommend opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Review and approve maintenance reports.
  • Determine spare part requirements and track/execute spare part inventory.
  • Analyze performance data to determine root causes and trends.
  • Review monthly reports from service providers and assist with preparation of monthly client reports, presenting performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to project success.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Ensure environmental, health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned and manage contractors and their performance.
  • Assist with capacity and balancing testing of batteries.
  • Manage liquidated damages and excludable events.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing representative, attending client meetings and handling queries.
  • Collaborate with the operations service manager, field services supervisor, and coordinator to ensure technicians meet client expectations.
  • Create and manage monthly operations reports and other management reports; monitor and report on KPIs.
  • Oversee preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) degree or diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management in renewable power generation or a service environment that includes electrical, controls, and network communication systems.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management and consensus-building skills.
  • Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, and photovoltaic or energy storage applications is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and influence a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced environment with a strong ownership mentality.
  • Professional-level capabilities with project management tools (e.g., MS 365 and Microsoft Project).
  • Must possess a valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record and be able to travel domestically per project requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; professional appearance and conduct.
