Overview

Deputy Manager – Jollyes Pets – Hartlepool. Salary £26,000 – £27,000 p.a. + bonus potential of £1-5k p.a.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store, team management, store standards, stock management and delivering excellent customer service to our pet parents.
  • Assist with ongoing growth initiatives and contribute to a culture that supports exceptional customer service and strong product knowledge.
  • Lead by example creating an excellent culture and working environment for your team, demonstrating the company values: Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused, Together.
  • Ensure you and your team deliver exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience and maintaining strong pet and product knowledge (Training given).
  • Deliver the highest standards of pet care and ensure the welfare of pets is a top priority, promoting responsible pet ownership.
  • Be available to manage store operations in the Store Manager’s absence and assist with cover in other stores in the region when required; this may require out-of-hours work and travel as needed.

Requirements

  • A passion for pets and people. Delighting customers by ensuring an unrivalled shopping experience.
  • Previous retail management experience, deputising for the Store Manager and taking a hands-on approach to daily business management.
  • A team player who communicates effectively and can build high-performing and highly engaged teams.
  • Proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs, while delivering high standards of store health & safety and legal compliance.
  • Commercially aware with proactive planning and strong organisational skills.
  • Own transport with a UK driving licence, as part of store management duties may require travel.
  • Full-time, permanent position – 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
