Job Title: Building Safety Manager

Contract: 6-Month Contract

Location: South Yorkshire (Local Authority)

A South Yorkshire–based local authority is seeking an experienced Building Safety Manager to support the delivery of building safety compliance across its portfolio of Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs).

The Role

You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and compliance of residential buildings, with a strong focus on the development and maintenance of Building Safety Case Reports and the effective management of the Golden Thread of information.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the preparation and review of Building Safety Case Reports
• Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and associated regulations
• Oversee fire and building safety compliance across HRBs
• Manage and maintain accurate safety data and documentation
• Work closely with internal teams, residents, and external stakeholders
• Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement of safety processes

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Building Safety Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of HRB compliance and current legislation
• Experience producing Building Safety Case Reports
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
