Job Summary
Aire Valley is seeking an experienced Contract / Project Manager with a strong background in glazed façades to lead live projects from inception to completion. Based at our Keighley HQ, you will take full ownership of the glazed façade scope—balancing programme, quality, and commercial control.
We are a friendly, family-oriented business looking for a proactive leader who can navigate the complexities of site logistics and client relations while ensuring every project is delivered safely and to specification.
This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and excellent communication abilities to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for delivery of the façade package, including curtain walling, windows/doors/cappings/flashings (as applicable).
- Manage the programme and short‑term planning; chair progress meetings and drive weekly look‑ahead.
- Lead site coordination with the Main Contractors, design teams, suppliers and installation teams.
- Control and maintain H&S standards, ensuring RAMS are produced, reviewed, briefed, and implemented.
- Oversee quality assurance: inspections, snagging, handover documentation, O&M inputs.
- Manage materials, lead times, deliveries, cranage/access and logistics to keep the installation on track.
- Proactively manage risks and solve site/design constraints quickly and professionally.
- Oversee remedial and 12-month defect works.
- Coordinate with the works manager to help plan future works and site requirements
Required Experience / Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager / Contracts Manager (or similar) within facades, specifically glazing.
- Strong understanding of façade installation sequences, interfaces, tolerances, and quality expectations. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
- Track record delivering packages to tight programmes, managing subcontractors and suppliers.
- Strong commercial awareness: valuations, variations, change control, and reporting.
- Confident communicator able to work with the Main Contractor site teams, clients, designers and installers.
- Ability to work under pressure, be flexible and adapt effectively and quickly to change.
- A dynamic and positive attitude
- A Valid driving licence is preferred for site visits and client meetings.
Qualifications
- CSCS (Manager/Supervisor level appropriate to role) (site credentials are typically expected on façade projects).
- SMSTS or equivalent. Will put the candidate through this course if not already possessed.
- Strong working knowledge of construction H&S and safe systems of work (RAMS).
- Full UK driving licence
- Use of own vehicle
- First Aid at Work
- Access/work at height familiarity; IPAF / PASMA beneficial where access equipment is in scope.
- Experience with recognised façade systems (we use Senior Architectural Systems)
