Job Description:

Delivering M&E/MEP decarbonisation projects, working from Manchester/Remotely, within an innovative multi‑disciplinary energy services provider of renewable energy installations and HVAC retrofit project services to commercial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the M&E project delivery team across all stages of the project lifecycle—from feasibility and design through to commissioning and handover.
  • Oversee project planning, procurement, cost control, and scheduling to ensure optimal delivery performance.
  • Manage and coordinate M&E engineering, construction, and commissioning activities across Solar PV, Heat Pumps, LED upgrades, and electrical infrastructure works.
  • Liaise with UKPN, DNOs, local authorities, and planning departments to secure necessary consents, connections, and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) legislation, company standards, and CDM Regulations.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement with clients, consultants, and supply‑chain partners to maintain strong relationships and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Monitor project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and lead resolution of technical and commercial issues.
  • Develop and mentor project managers and technical staff to build a high‑performing team.
  • Provide regular project performance reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience at senior management level within M&E, building services, or renewable energy project delivery.
  • Strong technical understanding of Solar PV systems, air source and ground source heat pumps, LED lighting, and electrical distribution infrastructure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UKPN/DNO connection processes, planning requirements, and relevant UK regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi‑site projects with values typically exceeding.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L budget management, revenue forecasting, and contract administration (typically JCT D&B and Minor Works and also NEC variants).
  • In‑depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance in M&E and construction environments.
