Wakefield Council – Permanent, Full-time – 37 hours per week – Salary Grade 7 (£32,061 – £34,434)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional administrative and secretarial support to two Service Directors.
  • Act as the first point of contact, representing the service to members of the public, employees, trade unions, Elected Members, MPs and senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate correspondence, reports, records and meeting governance with minimal supervision.
  • Develop, maintain and improve computerised systems for information management and governance, including reporting tools.
  • Manage the Service Directors’ diaries.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong digital skills and experience of creating and managing office systems.
  • Previous experience supporting senior leaders.
  • Highly organised, proactive and discreet with strong sound judgement.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and discreet Support Officer to provide exceptional administrative and secretarial support to two Service Directors.
