Location: London

The purpose of the Relationship Director role is to source, structure and advance new lending opportunities from initial relationship through to credit approval and closing, ensuring all deals will sit within Leumi UK’s risk and return parameters. They will engage and work closely with the rest of the Real Estate Finance Origination team to maintain a constant presence in the market which should be primarily focused on real estate finance in the UK.

They will seek out new markets, clients and opportunities to expand the Leumi UK franchise and work as part of a team to deliver the business’ goals and develop the brand awareness of Leumi UK as a specialist real estate lender across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Originate new lending opportunities within the relevant preferred credit appetite.
  • Build upon existing and originate new relationships within the real estate market
  • Maintain a strong and active origination pipeline
  • The negotiation (either solely, or with other members of management) of new credit facilities;
  • Working with TM to ensure that new facilities are executed in line with the Credit Department approvals;
  • Adherence with all LUK-wide policies and procedures;
  • Driving profitability for the benefit of LUK.
  • The presentation of credit proposals to the Credit Risk Management Committee (CRMC) and Board Credit Committee (BCC);
  • First point of contact for new to LUK prospective clients;
  • The understanding and review of each customers activity in accordance with anti-money laundering, and ‘know your customer’ requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • University degree and / or other relevant professional qualifications or experienced gained from time working in the real estate finance market.
  • Proven experience in the real estate finance, with a track record of originating and closing both investment and developmentloans.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of the UK real estate market
  • An active network of investors and developers, with strong sponsor relationships
  • Comfort in structuring complex deals
  • Entrepreneurial, commercial and execution focused
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with ability to interact and influence Executive level stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of an ability to work as part of a team with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of being a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude.
