Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Post-Graduate level qualification to masters level in relevant discipline/or demonstration of relevant transferrable knowledge and experience.
  • Honours degree or demonstration of relevant transferable knowledge and experience e.g. in Clinical Engineering, Equipment Planning.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
  • Specialist medical equipment training.
  • Engineering safety of medical equipment (IEC60601)

Desirable criteria

  • Programme / Project Management Qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP)
  • Business Case Accreditation (or relevant training/ experience)
  • Member of a relevant professional body, such as: IPEM, IHEEM.

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of managing projects (capital or non-capital and equipment related) and/or sub projects or workstream activities within larger programmes.
  • Experience in medical equipment management.
  • Experience of monitoring and managing equipment budgets and delivering projects within budget.
  • Experience of preparing reports and briefing notes to Project Groups and Boards and presenting information.
  • Experience of contributing to the development and monitoring of project plans comprising complex activities.
  • Experience of RAID Management
  • Experience of working in multi disciplinary Teams.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of working with database information and MS Office suite (MS Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook) to high level of competence.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working within/involved in the delivery of capital projects and the management and procurement of equipment.
  • Experience of using project planning software.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration. The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
