We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager (Military & Defence) to join our team on a stable basis.

What you will do

  • Identify, target, and secure new customers within the military and defence sector.
  • Develop and execute a structured growth strategy for the defence market.
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
  • Lead customer engagement throughout the full sales cycle, from initial contact to quotation and contract award.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with technical and laboratory teams.
  • Manage contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and payment conditions.
  • Develop and maintain long‑term strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and future defence programmes to identify new opportunities.
  • Represent the company at defence exhibitions, networking events, and industry forums.
  • Deliver revenue and margin targets, generate new leads, expand existing accounts, and ensure accurate forecasting and compliance with security and export regulations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales environment
  • In depth Commercial/Medical Market knowledge with the EMC, Environmental and Safety sectors
  • Knowledge of basic project management skills is required with the ability to prepare project schedules and quotations. A strong grasp of customer accounting (credit limits, payment terms, invoicing etc.) is required.
  • Good IT skills and experience using software packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • A good telephone manner is required with a clear and precise command of the English language.
