Financial Reporting Manager

Our Business Services and Outsourcing team provides accounting, payroll and compliance services and collaborates with other service lines to support client needs across the firm. We work with a range of clients from ambitious entrepreneurial SMEs to large multi-national groups, under UK GAAP and IFRS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex client portfolios, prepare statutory accounts, and lead advisory services.
• Oversee client relationships, project performance, and resource needs; review the work of junior staff.
• Join the Northern financial reporting management team, supporting strategic growth and handling departmental issues such as coaching, business development, and compliance.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance delivery and provide additional services to clients.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a management role.
• Strong working knowledge of UK and international reporting standards (including UK GAAP and UK-adopted IFRS) and related financial reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, consolidations and cash flows.
• Business development experience—able to identify and convert opportunities to services.
