Financial Reporting Manager

Overview

Ascent Recruitment is supporting a successful insurance business in Manchester City Centre in their search for a Financial Reporting Manager. This is a key leadership role reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting as their number 2, working closely with the CFO, and leading a team of accountants.

Responsibilities

• Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting (internal, UK GAAP, and tax returns)
• Co-ordinating external audits and regulatory reporting (ONS, CBI, rating agencies)
• Supporting Finance, Audit, Compliance, and Risk Committees
• Implementing accounting standards and financial controls
• Driving process improvements and automation
• Team Management

Skills & Experience

• Insurance sector background
• Strong financial accounting & reporting knowledge (IFRS, US & UK GAAP)
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Hybrid working (2 days in Manchester)
• 25 days leave + 2 wellbeing days
