Service Manager

Location: Llanfairfechan, Conwy

Hours: 37 Hours. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep‑ins.

Salary: £34,324 p.a. with sleep‑in shifts at £60 per night and travel expenses paid 45p per mile.

Contract: Permanent

What you’ll be doing

As Service Manager you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and management of the support service and for proactively engaging with its continued development. You’ll provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, enabling them to provide quality, person‑centred support. You’ll build positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action. You’ll carry out frequent reviews of support requirements, including service delivery plans, support plans, progress logs and risk assessments following the principles of person‑centred and relationship‑centred Active Support. You’ll manage a team of support workers, overseeing all aspects of team management and development, encouraging and coaching them to creatively problem‑solve and develop. Above all, your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of support and independence for the people we support to make everyday remarkable.

We’d love to hear from you if you have

  • Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
  • Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
  • A strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
  • Effective communication and the ability to influence others
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
  • Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
  • A driver’s licence and willingness to travel for meetings and training
