About The Role

Join Cleo’s Strategy & Business Operations team, and be embedded in one of our Product Pillars. You will be focused on three core priorities:

Strategy & Planning – in close collaboration with Pillar & Product leadership, help validate the strategy & OKRs and drive quality in planning cycles.

Operations – help monitor performance of the Pillars and provide operational support to drive improvements.

Execution – support on specific initiatives within the allocated Pillar. For example, you could be project managing new credit products, making risk decisions and working with external regulators to deliver reporting, or driving the launch of a brand new product.

A Strategy & Operations role in Risk Decisioning and Business Intelligence is all about working with internal and external stakeholders to bring new products to market, ensuring a balance between regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and processes that can scale with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the operational backbone and day-to-day cadence of the pillar/business area
  • Run core operating rhythms including planning, OKRs, and key leadership forums
  • Act as a trusted operational partner to Product, Risk & Credit leadership, anticipating issues and removing friction
  • Bring structure and momentum to complex, cross-functional discovery and early-stage initiatives
  • Surface risks, dependencies, and decision points early to maintain speed and alignment
  • Establish and uphold strong execution discipline through clear project management standards and processes
  • Actively drive initiatives from idea to delivery, maintaining accountability, pace, and transparency
  • Liaise cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Risk, Payments, Compliance, and external partners such as issuers or collections agencies.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of experience in an operations, strategy or a similar role, ideally in a Fintech business.
  • Experience in a regulated product-led environment (banking, payments, credit)
  • Ability to think strategically while executing effectively at an operational level
  • A detail-oriented, data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Experience managing projects/programmes with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of seniority
  • Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
  • A team player with a proactive, problem solving mindset
