What will you be doing?

As a key part of our projects team, you’ll provide technical assistance and expertise, contributing to a wide range of Pharmaceutical and Clean Room Projects with a strong knowledge of Building Service design packages. You’ll deliver accurate, efficient, and high‑quality Electrical and Instrumentation design services, generating installation deliverables that meet BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations and the specific needs of our clients. You’ll help keep projects running smoothly—on time, on budget, and to the highest standards—while managing multiple priorities with confidence. Producing clear, well‑structured documentation will be a key part of your role, in line with quality and compliance standards. Working closely with design and equipment subcontractors, you’ll build strong working relationships and look for ways to improve how we do things. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure our electrical designs are seamlessly integrated into complex, high‑impact projects.

What you’ll bring:

  • HNC/HND or Degree in a technical engineering subject, with practical experience delivering electrical installation designs.
  • Thorough knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671 – 18th Edition).
  • Understanding of E&I design best practices and project lifecycle management, and experience creating detailed design deliverables such as 2D and 3D electrical layouts and containment routing diagrams.
  • Ability to model electrical systems in ElectricalOM software.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015, including experience as a ‘Designer’.
  • Capability to conduct site surveys and provide construction assistance.
  • Experience producing load schedules.
  • Experience drawing electrical single‑line diagrams (Building Service).
  • Experience drawing electrical single‑line diagrams (Process Equipment).
  • Experience with Switchboard & MCC design packages.
  • Experience in lighting and emergency lighting design calculations.
  • Experience in Fire Alarm and VESDA design packages.
  • Experience with BMS and EMS design in Manufacturing Facilities.
  • Experience developing Installation Test Packs (desired but not essential).
  • Knowledge of hazardous area design, including intrinsically safe calculations and hazardous area inspection schedules (desired but not essential).
  • Experience with Instrumentation loop diagrams, cable calculations, and communication network diagrams (desired but not essential).

  • Relux/Dialux
  • Microsoft Office suite
