Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Manager, OEM Business Development to drive growth in the Analytical Reference Materials (ARM) sector. This remote role, based in the United Kingdom, focuses on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities with targeted OEM clients across environmental, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals & life sciences, petrochemicals, and toxicology.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for potential new OEM customers, generating demand through targeted outreach, following up on inbound leads, and collaborating closely with technical sales and marketing teams. The position requires building strong relationships, understanding customers’ technical challenges, and introducing appropriate solutions from a comprehensive product portfolio.
This role combines strategic business development with hands-on sales activities, including customer visits, attendance at trade shows, territory planning, and detailed account management. Travel is expected up to 40% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new OEM opportunities in the Analytical Reference Materials (ARM) sector across environmental, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals & life sciences, petrochemicals, and toxicology industries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for potential OEM customers; generate demand through targeted outreach and inbound leads; collaborate with technical sales and marketing teams.
- Understand customers’ technical challenges and propose appropriate solutions from the company’s product portfolio.
- Engage in strategic business development activities and hands-on sales tasks, including customer visits and attendance at trade shows, territory planning, and detailed account management.
- Travel up to 40% of the time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related physical or biological science, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant sales and/or business development experience.
- Strong technical understanding of analytical techniques (GC, ICP, LC, AAS, MS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel essential) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Experience in database management, data analysis, and compiling actionable reports.
