Company overview

We are building a new kind of physical platform: a curated industry members’ club that connects leading voices in interior design, architecture, and furniture with discerning private and trade clients. Our space will host exhibitions, talks, brand activations, and curated retail, creating a hub for inspiration, collaboration, and commerce.

Role overview

The Marketing Director will be responsible for shaping and driving the overall marketing vision, strategy, and execution for the business.

You will build the marketing function from the ground up: defining positioning, developing the brand, creating and executing marketing plans, and assembling and leading a high-performing team.

This is a hands-on, office-based leadership role for a self-starter who can move from strategy to execution and is comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and own the integrated marketing strategy for the company, aligned with the overall business vision and commercial targets.
  • Develop clear positioning and messaging for the platform, members’ club, and participating brands across B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, content, PR, events, partnerships, offline) to drive awareness, membership growth, and footfall.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a small but high-impact marketing team (in-house and/or freelance/agency) across key disciplines such as content, performance, design, and PR.
  • Design and implement marketing processes, workflows, and reporting to ensure organised, efficient, and data-driven execution.
  • Own the marketing budget, forecasting, and performance tracking (KPIs, dashboards, regular reporting to founders/management).
  • Partner closely with the founders and leadership team to shape company’s brand, product-market fit, and long-term positioning in the interior design and furniture ecosystem.
  • Lead the marketing around events, exhibitions, launches, and collaborations hosted at the physical space, ensuring maximum coverage and attendance.
  • Oversee the website, CRM, email marketing, and social media presence, ensuring consistent brand expression and strong community engagement.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships (design brands, media, influencers, trade bodies, galleries, etc.).
  • Use member and visitor insights to continuously refine the value proposition, communication, and experience for our community.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior marketing management roles (e.g. Head of Marketing, Marketing Director, Senior Marketing Manager) with clear progression and team leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience in at least one of the following sectors (ideally more): interior design, furniture, architecture, luxury lifestyle, hospitality, or private members’ clubs.
  • Demonstrable track record of building or significantly scaling a marketing function, including team-building and process creation.
  • Strong strategic marketing capability combined with a willingness to be hands-on in execution.
  • Experience running integrated, multi-channel campaigns (on- and offline) with measurable commercial impact.
  • Solid understanding of brand building, community building, and experiential/event marketing.
  • Comfortable working with data and analytics tools to inform decisions and optimise performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills inEnglish and Russian; ability to create and localise content for Russian-speaking audiences is mandatory.
  • Right to work in the UK and availability for a full-time, office-based role in central London.

Personal attributes

  • Self-starter with strong initiative: able to create structure, processes, and plans from a blank sheet.
  • Highly organised and disciplined, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Natural leader who can attract, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Visionary and creative thinker who can help define the company’s long-term brand and positioning, while remaining grounded in commercial outcomes.
  • Confident communicator and storyteller, comfortable presenting to founders, partners, and high-profile members.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and energised by building something new in an entrepreneurial setting.
