Are you an experienced change leader ready to make a real impact? Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, the largest non‑metropolitan Fire and Rescue Service in England, is on the lookout for a Senior Business Change Manager to join our Strategic Business Change team at our Service Headquarters in Exeter. This position is available on a permanent contract, working full‑time (37 hours per week) and offers a competitive salary of £48,226 rising on an annual basis to £51,536 (gross) per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver change strategies aligned to organisational goals

  • Conduct change impact and business readiness assessments
  • Engage, coach and support leaders and managers through change
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement and communications planning
  • Monitor impact, manage risks, and report progress to senior leaders

  • Drive continuous improvement in change management practices
  • Provide leadership to cross‑functional teams delivering change

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive experience in a Senior Change Management role, ideally within a complex organisation, with a track record of successfully delivering complex business change projects.
  • Experience in developing and implementing change management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Relevant professional qualification in Change Management at a Practitioner level.
  • Knowledge of Programme and Project management.
  • Self‑motivated with keen drive to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder ethic and proven ability to cope with ambiguity with a range of stakeholders.
