Position: National Account Manager – Chemical Raw Ingredients

The Role
- Looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities across the UK and Europe.
- This is a dynamic role combining account management and business development, suited to someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to customer engagement.
- Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts
- Identify and win new business opportunities within target markets
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
- Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry exhibitions across the UK & EU
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing movements
- Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, operations) to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting – SAGE 200
- Regular travel across the UK & Europe (customers, exhibitions)
- Occasional visits to suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centres
Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience in Sales/ chemical B2B sales (raw materials)
- Strong account management and relationship-building skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive and proactive approach
- Proven ability to develop sales strategies and drive revenue growth
- Experience managing and mentoring team members
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Industry knowledge
- Training in REACH, ISO, or similar – desirable
