Are you passionate about revolutionising the recruitment process and thrive in a fast-paced environment?
Catchers is the modern alternative to traditional agencies – an on demand Workforce as a Service platform that helps retailers flex their temporary workforce in hours, not weeks. We combine experienced people with a workforce management portal and a location based temp app so store and area managers can fill shifts fast, reduce no shows and keep service levels high. With ambitious plans for growth, we’re looking for individuals eager to help shape the future of recruitment while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
The Role
This is a full time, London focused Key Account Development role. Your core mission is simple: win, grow and retain high value temp staffing relationships with fashion, high street and grocery retail brands across Greater London.
You’ll be the face of Catchers for key retailers – identifying target accounts, getting in the room with decision makers and building multi site, multi store agreements that use our platform to solve real operational problems on the shop floor.
What you’ll own
- Build and execute a London retail go to market plan focused on high street, fashion and grocery chains (flagship, high footfall and multi site).
- Identify and map target accounts: store clusters, area/regional structures, DC links, seasonal and promotional peaks, and labour pain points.
- Open doors with retail decision makers (ops, HR, area/regional managers, resourcing) through outbound activity, warm networks and on site visits.
- Run a structured sales process from first meeting through discovery, solution design, pricing, pilot and rollout.
- Negotiate commercial terms and frameworks that can scale across multiple stores and regions.
- Work closely with delivery/recruitment teams to ensure we fulfil what you’ve sold, with strong communication back into client stakeholders.
- Own account performance: revenue, gross profit, fill rate, retention, NPS and expansion into more stores and roles.
How you’ll sell
- Translate retail operations into clear workforce problems: trading patterns, planograms, replenishment cycles, promo peaks, click & collect, stock takes, refits and new store openings.
- Build compelling pitches that show how Catchers reduces overtime, improves coverage and gives managers visibility and control through our platform.
- Use store walks and data driven conversations to uncover unmet temp needs (store teams, stockroom, merchandising, back of house, cashier, online fulfilment, etc.).
- Partner with clients on pilot sites, then turn successful pilots into broader rollouts across clusters, regions and formats.
- Use our analytics and reporting to demonstrate value – reduced no shows, faster fill, lower admin – and turn that into upsell and cross sell opportunities.
Who you are
- Deep understanding of retail operations – ideally from time spent in store, in field roles or closely partnering with retail operators.
- In recruitment building/running temp desks for fashion, high street or grocery retail; or
- In retail management or ops roles with direct responsibility for staffing, agency usage or labour deployment.
- B2B sales within the retail sector, particularly High Street or Grocery retail.
- Strong commercial instincts – comfortable identifying decision makers, running structured sales conversations and closing business.
- Able to talk credibly with store, area and regional leaders about labour planning, service levels, shrink, availability and customer experience.
- Highly organised, able to manage a focused target list, multiple live pursuits and several key accounts at different stages.
- Confident communicator and relationship builder, with a style that works from store manager to head office.
- Curious about tech and data, and keen to use our platform to remove admin and make retail staffing more predictable and transparent.
What you get
- A proven on demand workforce platform designed for high volume temp retail: workforce portal, candidate app, digital onboarding, compliance and payroll already in place.
- The chance to shape how Catchers partners with major retail brands in London and turn early wins into long term, strategic accounts.
- Learning and development focused on enterprise/key account selling and solution design in a tech enabled staffing model.
- Flexible, hybrid or remote working – we focus on outcomes and account growth.
