Eligibility
This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall first principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Key Responsibilities
Work across the Divisions and Directorates to ensure that high quality performance reporting governance structures are in place and adhered to.
Work across a range of specialty areas to ensure that performance reports and assurance meetings are appropriately administered, providing insights from complex data analysis to inform executives of triangulated themes (positives and concerns) that are highlighted.
Use statistical tools and techniques so that the assurance process from Ward to Trust Board is an open and transparent culture.
Work with areas where there are concerns or requirements for recovery plans and serve as a key member of the Chief Operating Officer’s office, supporting both the Chief Operating Officer and their Deputies to ensure performance accountability embraces the principle of high quality, safe services delivering high performance.
Support the Deputy Chief Operating Officer in running the performance and accountability function of the Chief Operating Officer’s office on behalf of the Trust.
Coordinate the delivery of performance and accountability structure so that executive directors can operate as inquisitive senior leaders, being assured of divisional performance, and attend Board Subcommittees and the Trust Board to provide assurance of the relevant performance indicators.
Coordinate production of reports to the Trust Board and subcommittees as required by the Chief Operating Officer.
Lead with the ambition of being the best, ensuring patients, visitors and staff experience excellent customer service in the delivery of outstanding care, eradicating delays.
Chair programmes of work that will lead to improvements in service delivery, ensuring that any business case requirements are met and appropriate governance is in place, ensuring a return on investment and that the programmes meet their objectives.
Operate an effective and transparent performance management framework which enforces clear accountability for delivery within and across the Directorate, ensuring prompt recovery of under-performance and recognising success through earned autonomy.
Prepare and provide regular performance and exception reports to the Divisional Operations Directors, Deputy Chief Operating Officers and the Chief Operating Officer.
