Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Home Carer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate care staff during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Support service users with personal care, daily living activities, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate care documentation and records.
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to care planning and review meetings.

  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and management teams.
  • Assist with care coordination activities and scheduling requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a care environment.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • Care Certificate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and support care teams effectively.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work according to service requirements.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in domiciliary or home care settings.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring care staff.
  • Knowledge of care planning, safeguarding procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Experience with care coordination and rota management.
  • Understanding of CQC standards and care compliance requirements.
