Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SoC Validation Engineer to join our innovative Silicon Team. This team is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge silicon technology that is integral to delivering the world’s first space-based mobile broadband network.

As part of a collaborative and dynamic environment, you will play a pivotal role in defining and validating next-generation silicon solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the development of a global communications network from space, making a tangible difference in connecting the unconnected.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with System Definition and IC Design teams to ensure optimal device specifications, including ball placement and external component selection, to meet PCB and system requirements
  • Defining and specifying laboratory equipment and infrastructure necessary for effective device testing and validation
  • Developing comprehensive validation test plans to assess IC performance, functionality, and system integration, covering hardware, software, and RF aspects
  • Executing manual bring-up and planned validation test activities, including fault isolation and debugging
  • Defining, developing, and implementing regression and automation procedures to enhance validation efficiency and coverage
  • Producing clear and concise validation reports for technical review and sign-off
  • Supporting board-level bring-up and debugging activities in collaboration with hardware and software teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BEng) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory validation equipment such as spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and network analysers
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Perl, C, or C++
  • Strong verbal communication and technical documentation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with DSP, wireless communication systems, and SerDes technologies
  • Expertise in validating complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs involving embedded software
  • Background knowledge of RF fundamentals, antennas, and communication theory
