Job Description:

A key member of the company’s sales team, responsible for the relationship management for several key accounts. Managing relationship with the key account and selling Midac portfolio of products to generate orders.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Company sales targets as set out in the annual budget.
  • Ensure sales are created and stimulated for all products to the accounts defined within the given key accounts.
  • Ensure that the correct product information is given to the Customer in a timely manner.
  • Advise, support and motivate customers in trading with the Company in order to secure more profitable sales and greater market share.
  • Attend Company sales and product meetings, onsite and off.
  • Ensure customer records and reports are maintained to the standard required by the Company.
  • Handle all customers’ orders/enquires promptly and efficiently.
  • Complete regular reporting requirements.
  • Health & Safety requirements.

Relationship Management

  • Establish relationships with customers based on trust, confidence and mutual respect.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s strategy, commercial drivers, market and challenges with particular focus on the development of a strategic partnership.
  • Act as the customer’s advocate ensuring that their business requirements and service expectations are understood by the relevant operational and support teams.

Business Development

  • Clearly understand the challenges and future sales requirements of the customer.
  • Develop and support sales proposals and working with the National Account Managers participate in follow up presales and customer bid presentation meetings.
  • Be proactively involved with sales, bid management and solutions consulting to assist in the identification of additional services within accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to up sell and develop solutions with the National Account Managers and ensure continued ownership through the sales cycle process.
  • Proactively participate in the presales meetings with the customer developing further solutions and provide proactive support during this process from a service management perspective.

 

Financial Management

  • Manage the financial aspect of customers’ services, ensuring that all contracted services are billed accurately and as per the contracted frequency, and that any issues preventing payment of invoices are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Skills

    • Proficient organisational skills.
    • 5 years experience of batteries.
    • Customer Service.
    • Able to travel throughout the UK.
    • Willingness to undertake occasional overnight stays where required to support customer meetings and business activities.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
    • Be dependable and professional to customers, suppliers, and staff.
    • Have computer and software skills.
    • Be able to communicate successfully in both written and verbal format.
    • Be decisive, resourceful, inventive, with excellent attention to detail skills.
    • Pro-active, problem solving and ability to use own initiative.
