What you will do
- Conduct assessments of patients to evaluate their needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Implement rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient requirements, focusing on achieving the best possible outcome.
- Coordinate patient discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions from the hospital to home or other care settings.
- Manage and prescribe complex manual handling equipment, ensuring patients’ safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in areas such as general medicine and emergency departments.
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with NHS standards.
Requirements
- HCPC Registration: Must hold a valid HCPC registration.
- Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is required.
- Experience: Expertise in acute Occupational Therapy, patient assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge within a UK NHS hospital setting.
- Specialist Knowledge: Experience managing complex manual handling equipment within hospital environments.
