What you will do

  • Conduct assessments of patients to evaluate their needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Implement rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient requirements, focusing on achieving the best possible outcome.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions from the hospital to home or other care settings.
  • Manage and prescribe complex manual handling equipment, ensuring patients’ safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in areas such as general medicine and emergency departments.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with NHS standards.

Requirements

  • HCPC Registration: Must hold a valid HCPC registration.
  • Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is required.
  • Experience: Expertise in acute Occupational Therapy, patient assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge within a UK NHS hospital setting.
