Permanent Year 5 Primary Teacher / KS2 Early Career Teacher (ECT) position, starting September 2026. This is a multicultural primary school with a strong record of teacher support and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 5 lessons aligned with the national curriculum, ensuring progress for all pupils.
• Lead a class of 30 pupils, setting clear academic targets and monitoring progress.
• Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants, all of whom are teacher graduates, to maximise lesson quality.
• Implement and uphold the school’s induction programme, applying feedback to improve practice.
• Work with colleagues to drive up teaching standards and contribute to the school’s culture of excellence.

Requirements

• Current Good or better record from classroom observations.
• Experience teaching or working in an inner‑city primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to keep lesson content engaging and enjoyable.
• Self‑confidence, ability to think on your feet, and a drive to continuously improve teaching practice.
