The Role Peter Campbell Sales Ltd, part of the Rubix Cutting & Machining division, is a leading supplier of high-performance cutting tools and technical machining solutions across the UK. We support a wide range of manufacturing sectors including aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, and precision engineering, helping customers improve productivity, reduce costs and optimise machining performance. We are currently seeking a driven and technically capable Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing team. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while supporting and growing existing customer accounts. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where you will provide technical expertise and practical machining solutions directly on‑site.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and managing customer relationships within your territory
- Identifying opportunities to introduce cutting tool and machining solutions
- Providing technical advice on tooling selection, machining strategies and productivity improvements
- Conducting on‑site trials and performance evaluations
- Preparing quotations, proposals and technical reports
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction
- Achieving agreed sales and margin targets
About You
- Proven experience in a technical sales or machining/manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools and metal machining processes
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach to business development
- A full UK driving licence
