Warehouse Operative

What You’ll Be Doing

• Unloading sheet metal from assigned beds using the appropriate tools
• Handling, counting and sorting metal parts
• Supporting production operatives with day-to-day tasks
• Packing parts correctly for dispatch (boxes, bubble wrap and pallets)
• Keeping work areas and machinery clean and tidy (housekeeping duties)
• Recycling cardboard, plastic and other materials
• Following Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Completing basic paperwork when required

What We’re Looking For

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable with physical work and manual handling
• Able to work as part of a team
• Basic Maths and English skills
• Applicants must be 18 years or over

Working Pattern

You can choose between early or late fit shift:

• Early shift: 8 hour shift; Monday to Friday; 6am-2:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)
• Late shift: 10-hour shifts; Monday to Thursday; 1:30pm-00:00 (30-minute unpaid break)

What We Offer

• £13.50 per hour (annual equivalent of £28,080.00)
• 24 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays (Christmas shutdown)
• No overtime or weekend working usually required and it’s voluntary.
