Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70
We are currently recruiting for two positions:
Position 1 – Part Time
- 12 hours per week
- Must be flexible to work both days and nights
- Days: 8:00am – 8:00pm
- Nights: 8:00pm – 8:00am
Position 2 – Waking Nights
- 36 hours per week
- Waking night shifts only
- Nights: 8:00pm – 8:00am

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and engaging Waking Night Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley. This role would suit someone who is naturally warm, interactive and happy to get involved. About You
- Full clean UK driving licence (21+ required for insurance purposes)
- Eligibility to Work in the UK – you must be eligible to work in the UK. Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas.
- Friendly, patient, and well‑organised
- Experienced with Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviour
- Clear and confident in spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with the person being supported and the wider team
- Care experience preferred
- Committed to providing safe, respectful, and consistent support
