Female Support Worker

Role Overview

We are exclusively recruiting for female staff only due to the needs of our female residents. You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health conditions. Whether you have experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life.

Responsibilities

• Work on day shifts, between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including weekends on rota.
• Provide care and support to residents with personal hygiene.
• Use excellent communication skills and a background in Learning Disabilities & Autism to support people through their care pathway.
• Deal with challenging behaviours.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach, demonstrating empathy, compassion, resilience and vigilance.
• Be reliable, flexible, hard‑working, honest and a team player.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be local or within commutable distance to 12 Annandale Avenue, Bognor Regis, West Sussex PO21 2EU.
• Must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full‑time. 20‑hour Student and Skilled Worker Visas cannot be accepted.
• Experience as a Support Worker with a background in Learning Disabilities & Autism is desirable.
• All candidates will be subject to a DBS disclosure.

Location

12 Annandale Avenue, Bognor Regis, West Sussex PO21 2EU – Walcott House, a Learning Disability and Autism service providing a specialist residential service for men and women.
