Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Overview

The role involves supporting the school across various classes based on needs. The primary focus will be on Years 4–6, with teaching cover across the school as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in ensuring all children’s needs are met.
• Work with small and singular year groups.
• Provide teaching cover as needed.
• Mid‑day supervision (one hour) and nurture support (30 minutes) each day.
• Optional additional half day supporting the Early Help services.

Qualifications

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or teaching assistant with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong inclusive values and a commitment to supporting all pupils.

Hours

Full‑time work with potential additional ad‑hoc hours.
