Grade 3, SCP 12– 18 (£27,330 – £30,971 pro-rata)
If you are enthusiastic, green fingered and hands on with a desire to keep all gardens, grounds and parks beautifully presented and maintained then we would like to receive an application form from you. PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- No formal qualification requirement
- Enthusiasm for gardening
- Appreciation of safe manual handling techniques with the ability to carry out manual handling operations
- Positive approach to challenges and change with a willingness to be trained and to apply new skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to deal courteously and fairly with the public
- Ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a team
- Basic awareness of Health & Safety Regulations
Desirable
- A full clean valid driving licence
- An NPTC Certificate in pesticide application or the willingness to gain such Certificate
- Experience in public sector parks and gardens
- Political sensitivity
