Our client, a well-established electronics manufacturing and solutions provider, is looking for an Internal Sales Executive in Basingstoke to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an office-based role with some hybrid flexibility (1 day from home), supporting customer engagement and internal sales operations within a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer sales orders accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries, resolving issues efficiently.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying cross‑sell and upsell opportunities.
- Prepare and follow up on customer quotations using CRM systems.
- Raise invoices and support order fulfilment processes.
- Maintain CRM systems and internal filing systems.
- Support external Account Managers and liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Generate and qualify new leads using databases, web research, and LinkedIn.
- Assist with general office duties including telephony and administrative support.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in an internal sales or account management role (minimum 3 years).
- Experience using ERP systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
- Experience working within an electronics manufacturing or components environment is advantageous.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong team‑working capability.
