Consultant Psychiatrist – Arbury Court Hospital

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist on the specialist register for forensic or general adult psychiatry to provide care and treatment for adult women with complex mental health needs. This full‑time role (37.5 hours a week) involves delivering care programmes, managing physical and mental health concerns, and offering personalised approaches to the care and treatment of people admitted to the hospital. You will run a medium or low secure ward depending on preference and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and treatment for adult women with a wide range of mental health issues.
• Deliver care programmes, manage physical and mental health concerns, and provide individualized approaches to the care and treatment of admitted patients.
• Run a medium or low secure ward based on personal preference.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration.
• Membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
• Section 12 approval.
• Approved Clinician status.
• Specialist register for forensic or general adult psychiatry.
