Product & Marketing Executive

Company: Octopus Group
Apply for the Product & Marketing Executive
Location: London
Job Description:

We are looking for a Product & Marketing Executive who can wear many hats to support some of the most popular and exciting parts of the Octopus Energy brand. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, where you’ll be trusted to run with projects, collaborate closely with others, and help bring Octopus to life for customers day-to-day.

How we work

Our small, well-crafted marketing team owns customer experience and supports over 8 million households across Great Britain. We don’t do things the traditional way. No agencies, no slow sign-offs, no bloated teams. We have an in-house team of designers, developers, copywriters, and media buyers. We move fast, test constantly, and focus on what works. For the right person, this is freeing; for the wrong person, it’s chaos.

This is a generalist role, so no two days will be the same. You’ll work on campaigns such as Octoplus (our rewards scheme unlocking freebies from brands like Greggs and Vue for nearly 3 million customers), Saving Sessions (rewarding over 1 million customers for using energy efficiently), and Shoptopus (our merch store).

What you’ll do

  • Product development & management: help develop new merch, sampling, shipping, maintaining the e-commerce site, and related logistics
  • Managing rewards: coordinate with suppliers, partners, and tech teams; launch new offers; maintain website; identify and deliver improvements
  • Email marketing: plan and execute marketing communications that engage customers and inspire action
  • Campaign management: design and execute campaigns that reach customers quickly, creatively, and on budget
  • Content creation: create written and video content to support various projects
  • Marketing operations & admin: manage internal communications, update knowledge bases, track performance, print collateral, organize send-outs, and assist with events and shoots

What you’ll need

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter, able to juggle multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Collaborative: an enthusiastic part of a friendly creative team
  • T-shaped: adaptable and willing to figure things out
  • Interest in how people think and what motivates them to engage with a product
  • 2-3+ years of experience in a marketing role
  • Bonus: content creation experience

This is mainly an office-based role, working from our London HQ in Oxford Circus 3-4 days a week.
