The Opportunity
This role is part of Ashurst’s UK/EMEA People & Culture (P&C) business partnering team and focuses on providing advice, coaching and support across a broad range of P&C matters spanning the employee lifecycle. The position works with P&C divisional leads, function heads, and practice leads in the London and Glasgow offices to help partners and business leaders manage and support their people, build an inclusive, high‑performing culture, and drive talent development, employee engagement and wellbeing.
The role will deliver operational and strategic business partnering for a dedicated client group, support large‑scale change programs across the firm, and collaborate with the wider P&C function and key stakeholders.
This is a full‑time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working. Frequent travel to our London office will be required.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in senior business partnering, including complex stakeholder engagement and change and transformation programmes in a fast‑paced professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Employee Relations and the wider People & Culture functions (Reward & Benefits, Learning & Organisational Development, Talent Acquisition, Resourcing, etc.).
- Experience supporting a technology workforce.
- Strategic, operational and creative thinking with a pragmatic approach to people solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and coaching skills, with the ability to challenge and push back as required to deliver impact.
- Adaptability to fast‑paced and changing work environments.
