Project Engineer (Pumping Stations)

Location: Thames Water Region

Contract (8‑12 Weeks) – Immediate Start – Competitive Day Rate

Immediate requirement for a Project Engineer to support multiple pumping station refurbishment projects across the Thames Water network.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pumping station refurbishment and upgrade projects across the Thames Water region.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works progress on programme.
• Ensure labour, materials, plant, and equipment are available and scheduled correctly.
• Monitor project progress, site quality, and health & safety compliance.
• Liaise with clients, site managers, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Resolve site issues and keep projects moving efficiently to programme and budget.

Qualifications

• Proven Project Engineer experience within water, utilities, pumping stations, or industrial infrastructure.
• Able to manage multiple contractors and site activities independently.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Experience working on Thames Water or other UK water utility projects advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel across the Thames region.
• Available for an immediate start.
