£13.45 per hour
Shifts typically include morning, lunchtime, and evening mealtime hours across 7 days a week (full-time and part-time positions available).
About the service
Badgers Wood is a welcoming residential care home in Drayton, just a few miles from Norwich, supporting up to 37 older people with both permanent and respite care.
The home provides a comfortable and homely environment, with well-thought-out spaces including a library, retro lounge, seaside-themed room, café, and hair and nail salon—creating a relaxed and sociable atmosphere for residents.

About the role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the cook and wider team to deliver a high-quality dining experience for our residents.
You will help ensure meals are prepared and served to a high standard while maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Serving meals and drinks in a friendly and respectful way
- Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- Supporting stock rotation and safe storage of food
- Following food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
- Helping create a positive, calm mealtime experience
- Supporting residents’ individual dietary needs where required
