Shift Pattern

Up to 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Sunday (24/7 operation).

Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for cleaning hotel bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas, ensuring sufficient linen is available for daily operations and completing additional cleaning tasks in the back of house.

Linen Porter Duties

  • Ensure the delivery of clean linen to designated areas by specified deadlines.
  • Ensure the collection of soiled linen from designated areas by specified deadlines.
  • Check all linen cupboards regularly and keep them tidy, organised and fully stocked.
  • Keep service areas clean and tidy.
  • Wait for linen delivery at the specified times.
  • Bring dirty linen to the linen room, classify it, count it and return damaged linen following the required procedure.
  • Pushing and pulling of linen trolleys throughout the hotel.

Room Attendant Duties

  • Clean hotel rooms to required standards and deadlines.
  • Complete regular cleaning routines (task of the day) as per training.
  • Change bed linen and towels and make beds.
  • High and low dusting and polishing furniture.
  • Clean bathrooms – vanity, sink, bath/shower, tiles/glass and walls.
  • Vacuum and mop floors.
  • Replace stock of guest supplies such as shampoo, soap and brochures.
  • Re‑stock drinks in the minibar.
  • Re‑stock and clean equipment used.

Public Area Cleaner Duties

  • Clean designated public areas to required standards and deadlines.
  • Complete regular cleaning routines (task of the day).
  • Vacuum, mop floors and clean windows.
  • Dust and polish furniture.
  • Re‑stock and clean equipment used.
  • Replace stock of supplies such as soap, toilet rolls and brochures.

Attend and provide input at housekeeping meetings. Act on special instructions and pass on relevant information. Be responsible for all keys in your possession. Report potential Health & Safety hazards. Perform related duties and special projects assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
