Senior Business Development Manager — Diagnostics (South UK)

Remote | South UK preferred | £80,000–£90,000 + 40% Bonus + LTI + Car + Benefits

Are you a strategic enterprise sales professional with a consultative approach and a track record of winning and managing complex, high-value contracts? This is a rare opportunity to join a world-leading diagnostics business in a pivotal commercial role.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business and manage strategic NHS accounts across the UK, with a particular focus on the south of England. You will be responsible for a significant portfolio of core diagnostics contracts, working across capital equipment, managed services, and digital health solutions.

This is a genuine hunter role – you will be targeting new NHS accounts, leading contract negotiations, and positioning the business as a long-term performance partner at the highest levels of healthcare organisations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Winning new NHS enterprise accounts and managing the full sales cycle from identification to contract close
  • Building relationships across the full stakeholder landscape – lab managers, Chief Clinical Scientists, hospital directors, C-suite, and finance
  • Developing strategic account plans aligned to customer objectives and portfolio strategy
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver against account strategy
  • Negotiating profitable, complex contracts covering capital equipment, services, and digital solutions
  • Collaborating with internal teams including clinical specialists and supply chain partners

What We Are Looking For

  • A consultative, insight-led approach to enterprise sales — you lead with value, not product
  • Proven track record winning and managing large, complex contracts (£10m+ preferred)
  • Experience engaging at C-suite and senior NHS stakeholder level
  • Background in diagnostics, pathology, lab services, healthcare consultancy, or adjacent life sciences sector
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Based in, or willing to be based in, the south of England

  • Base salary: £80,000–£90,000
