New Business Development Executive – Mercer Marsh Benefits

Mercer Marsh Benefits is seeking a New Business Development Executive to join our team. Candidates may be based at any of our UK office locations. The hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, complemented by regular travel to engage with clients in person.

In this role you will leverage your advisory skills to drive new business sales within the SME healthcare and protection market. The company offers a supportive environment with staged sales targets in the first year and a generous bonus offering to reward achievements.

  • Identify and engage potential clients in the SME sector

  • Coordinate cash allocation process
  • Issue invoices
  • Report and resolve any incompatibilities in invoices
  • Reconcile broker’s remuneration with insurers
  • Handle orders/transactions according to internal company standards (procedures, regulations)
  • Perform month‑closing activities
  • Verify the correctness of financial documents
  • Handle long‑term business relationships with stakeholders
  • Prepare ad‑hoc, daily, or monthly reports and forecasts for various purposes
  • Improve the process using experience and knowledge

What You Need To Have:

  • 1+ year of work experience in a similar position
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work within tight operational deadlines and priorities
  • Very strong ownership and responsibility for assigned activities
  • Ability to work analytically in a problem‑solving environment

  • Previous experience in SSC/BPO company
  • University degree (finance/economics)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client‑focus and proactive approach
  • Knowledge of an additional language (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Romanian, Italian, Portuguese, Greek)
