The Team
The Reputation Strategy and Research team helps our clients take a strategic approach to reputation, so they can win the trust their business needs. We design processes that help clients make defining strategic choices about reputation and build the positioning, narrative and communications strategy they need. We develop cutting‑edge research techniques to inform these decisions, identifying priority audiences and the most persuasive approaches. Our approach is audience‑led and evidence‑based, using research and insight at every stage of our projects.
The Role
An Associate Consultant (AC) in Teneo’s Reputation Strategy and Research team is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to our clients. They play a key role in delivering quality work and ensuring agreed timelines on client projects are met.
ACs work into and learn from our Consultants, Senior Consultants, Associate Directors and Managing Directors, with the structure of each team varying based on our scope and clients’ needs. They demonstrate a collegiate approach to working with others and help ensure new junior team members, such as graduate programme intake, settle into their roles.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of projects, including timeline, resource and budgets; communicating proactively about progress; with a forward view to anticipate needs and potential issues
- Work as part of a team to find and apply the right research methodologies in response to a client challenge
- Conduct effective desk research, including using media, social media and AI analysis tools (training will be given on tools)
- Support the team in conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research (e.g. managing third‑party suppliers, drafting discussion guides and questionnaires)
- Play a key role in analysing and interpreting research (primary qualitative and quantitative / secondary desk research and analysis) and distilling research into compelling insight
- Play a role in workshops / presentations, preparing materials for these, presenting back insights and helping to facilitate client discussions
- Quickly become a subject matter expert for our clients
- Build a strong network of effective relationships internally and externally
- Stay well informed and share knowledge with teams and clients
Skills and experience
- At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role
- Demonstratable experience in executing primary research such as online polling, focus groups, in‑depth interviews and data collection
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to make valuable contributions in internal and external meetings
- Appetite to build their own skills and knowledge, and willingness to ask questions along the way
- Enthusiasm about research and insight – experience is desirable but not essential
- A positive, flexible and ambitious team player
