We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional with a background in logistics or transport to make a significant impact within a growing business. In return, we offer a competitive salary package, including a vehicle allowance and industry-leading commission potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, converting leads into successful, delivered sales.
  • Develop and maintain existing customer relationships, ensuring clients are fully informed of our services and capabilities.
  • Negotiate and secure commercial contracts with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to align sales strategy with operational strengths.
  • Effectively manage and grow the sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition and detailed handover to the operations and customer service teams.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role within the logistics, transport or warehousing sector.
  • A proven track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including CRM platforms, and high levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • A professional, self-motivated and results-driven attitude.

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience across multiple logistics modes including warehousing, transport, and supply chain solutions.
