This is a hands-on role at the heart of Virgin’s transformation agenda.You’llbuild and lead an enterprise-wide planning approach from the ground up, bringing clarity to complex initiatives and turning ambition into delivery.

Owning Virgin’s integrated plan,you’llconnect programmes and business-led initiatives, manage dependencies, spot overlaps, and drive the trade-offs that matter. With no established standards or tools,you’lldefine how planning works across the organisation – selecting tools, embedding ways of working, and enabling integrated planning at scale.

  • Design and embed anenterprise-wide planning approach, setting standards, tools, and rhythms that simplify delivery and improve predictability for leaders.
  • Own and continuously evolve the integrated plan across delivery programmes and business-led change.
  • Align the plan to strategic priorities, capacity, and investment, ensuring it reflectswhat’srealistic and what matters most.
  • Connect the organisation, building relationships from Exec to delivery teams to gatheraccurateinputs and surface dependencies early.
  • Shape demand into delivery, working with Finance, Strategy, and functional leads tobringthe right initiatives in at the right time.
  • Influence key decisions, using planning insight to guide sequencing, trade-offs, and timeline risks at leadership level.
  • Advise with impact, helping stakeholders navigate competing priorities with a clear view of the bigger picture.
  • Stay ahead of risk,identifyingpinch points and opportunities before theymaterialise.
  • Modelwhat’spossible, testing scenarios and recommending clear paths to keep delivery on track.
  • Bring it all together, connecting portfolio planning, performance insight, and execution into one coherent view.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience in complex planning roles, with the confidence to lead, set direction, and get hands-on—not just design plans.
  • Strong background in enterprise, portfolio, or strategic planning within complex environments.
  • Experience spanning both delivery-led and change-led programmes.
  • Confidence with planning tools, methodologies, and mixed delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Experience tracking progress across formal programmes and less structured initiatives.
  • The ability to present planning insight to senior leadership with clarity.
  • Comfortoperatingin ambiguity—and turning it into clear direction and momentum.
