This is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Trust’s bed capacity and patient flow and assist in achieving key performance and quality standards (e.g. emergency and elective admission access targets, single‑sex accommodation and infection control).
- Support safe staffing levels.
- Have overall responsibility for the hospital site out of hours, with support from the on‑call senior manager and the executive on‑call.
- Direct responsibility for the management and reporting of the four‑hour access target for the Emergency departments and the direction of bed usage throughout the Trust.
- Ensure patient flow throughout the Trust is safe and effective at all times and facilitate timely discharges from the Trust.
