Fire Alarm Engineer (Commissioning)

VANRATH is supporting a thriving services company with the recruitment of a Alarm Engineer to join their fun and friendly team based in Belfast. Position: Permanent, Monday to Friday Location: Office located near Hannahstown / Andersontown, Belfast Salary: £31,000 – £42,000 dependent on experience, plus a monthly productivity bonus (averaging £5,000 per year) Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and commissioning fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. Install, maintain, and commission both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems. Diagnose and repair faults on fire detection and alarm systems. Perform routine servicing, inspections, and testing in line with BS5839 standards. Communicate effectively with clients and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery. Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency call-outs when required. Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including addressable platforms such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, and Morley. Full UK driving licence. Desirable: FIA or equivalent fire alarm training certification. Familiarity with additional life safety systems such as access control and CCTV.
