BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a client who are in the healthcare sector based in Peterborough.
About the Role: – Day rate: £250/£300 – Contract position – Standard working hours – Collaborative and supportive work environment
Duties/Responsibilities: – Prepare and analyse costings for tenders – Manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects – Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs – Negotiate and procure materials and subcontractor services – Monitor project progress and control costs – Prepare and present detailed reports – Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations – Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers
About you: – Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor – Previous experience in the healthcare sector is highly desirable – Strong analytical and numerical skills – Excellent negotiation and communication skills – Proficient in relevant software and tools – Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
