About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional fit-out contractor based in East Kilbride. The business is a SME and you will be the main Surveyorworking closely with the Director of the company to support commercial requirements within the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including retail shopfitting (with a strong focus on joinery installations), property upgrades, and residential house building.
You will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
- Managing project costs and monitoring financial performance
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments
- Identifying, valuing, and negotiating variations
- Procuring subcontractors and managing accounts
- Conducting site visits and liaising with project teams
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within fit-out, joinery, or residential construction
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects across varied sectors
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in relevant software and standard QS practices
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential depending on experience)
