Role: Electrical Commissioning and Maintenance Engineer
Location: Swansea/Cardiff – with UK wide travel
Salary: 40,000 with OTE 55,000 +
My client is looking for an Electrical Commissioning and Maintenance Engineer. You Will be working alongside a Mechanical Engineer as part of a two-person team delivering installation, commissioning, and servicing of pumping equipment across the UK.
The role will primarily cover Wales and the Southwest of England; however, candidates must be flexible and willing to travel nationwide, including overnight stays when required. All travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered.
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of pumping systems
- Provide electrical support to a Mechanical Engineer on-site
- Attend sites across the UK, primarily Wales & Southwest
- Complete site reports and documentation accurately
- Support breakdown and aftersales service activities when required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures
- Maintain tools, materials, and equipment readiness
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
Skills & Experience:
- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (17th or 18th Edition / BS 7671)
- Experience in a similar electrical or maintenance role
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home
Desirable:
- Inspection & Testing (Level 3)
- Experience working with pumps or motors
- Confined Space training
