Would you like to be involved with supporting the development of qualifications in Network Engineering? We are looking for Development Consultants to join our team and be part of a growing network of associates.

This role gives you the opportunity to work with City & Guilds alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates and contribute to expanding your skills and development.

Development Consultants have one of the most wide-ranging roles of all City & Guilds Associates, with the possibility of being involved in many different parts of the qualification and assessment development process.

Some of the key roles and responsibilities that you may conduct are:

  • Scoping qualification content – e.g., qualification and unit structures, rules of combinations, assessment design
  • Writing unit content
  • Drafting assessments and sample assessment materials – e.g., multiple-choice question papers, knowledge tests, practical assessments, professional discussions, portfolios of evidence
  • Reviewing and amending assessments as part of reviewing panels or as a scrutineer
  • Reviewing the mapping of content against standards or other qualifications

You will help to develop materials for the Reformed Apprenticeship which includes interpreting technical information and understanding organisational requirements and expectations, supporting delivery of legislatively compliant solutions to challenges in network infrastructure.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

Demonstrable, up-to-date experience within the Network Engineering domain, including hands on knowledge of current practices.

Proven industry background supported by a relevant qualification at or above the level of the apprenticeship standard is required.

As part of your role, you will receive contextualized training for each development that you are involved in, and will be expected to attend online, face-to-face meetings as well as taking on some remote activities.
