We are partnering with a global leader in power solutions to appoint a high-calibre Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across Africa and the Middle East.
This is a pivotal role for a proven new business hunter with a track record of winning complex deals, building strategic accounts, and operating in demanding international markets.
We are particularly interested in candidates with proven experience selling power solutions into data centres across East and West Africa, with an established network and deep understanding of the sector.
You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of power generation and electrical solutions across your assigned territories.
This is a front-line, revenue-generating position focused on:
- Winning new business
You’ll operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments where technical understanding and commercial acumen are equally important.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and win new business across East & West Africa, with a strong focus on the data centre sector
- Build relationships with international organisations operating across the region
- Identify, qualify, and convert high-value opportunities
- Lead and manage tenders and bid processes
- Build and execute strategic account plans
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasting via Salesforce
- Develop pricing strategies to maximise profitable growth
- Negotiate and close deals on favourable commercial terms
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
You will work closely with internal stakeholders including leadership, finance, technical specialists, and sales support teams to maximise opportunity success.
Territory & Travel
- Coverage: Africa & Middle East and Europe
- Regular travel
- Several years’ experience in power, electrical, or critical infrastructure sales
- Strong new business “hunter” mentality with consistent revenue delivery
- Experience managing complex tenders and bid processes
- CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce)
- Comfortable operating across multicultural, international markets
- Confident, assertive, and target-driven
- Power generation or backup power solutions
- Transformers, cables, switchgear, control panels, or related equipment
- Additional language skills

Qualifications
